Title:  Country Manager - Jordan

Job Purpose:

The Country Sales Manager – Jordan is responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy in alignment with the company’s overall business objectives. The role involves overseeing all sales activities across both private and institutional channels within Jordan, driving revenue growth, building strong client relationships, and leading a high-performing sales team. The position also includes managing local distribution partners and key accounts while ensuring operational excellence and compliance with internal and external standards.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop and implement country-specific sales business plans that align with the overall regional strategy and corporate objectives.
  • Lead market analysis and strategic planning activities, including supply-demand trends, competitor insights, and consumer behavior in coordination with the Territory Manager.

Sales Operations

  • Manage daily operations of the sales department to ensure high performance and adherence to processes and procedures.
  • Set and monitor monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets for the team and ensure targets are met or exceeded.
  • Coordinate key account management activities, including relationship development and strategic account planning.

Budgeting & Reporting

  • Prepare annual sales budgets and manage spending in line with budgetary allocations.
  • Track sales performance and provide regular sales reports, including product performance and market share analysis, to the Director – GCC Region.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve departmental goals.
  • Set clear performance expectations, conduct regular performance reviews, and support career development of team members.

 

Partner & Stakeholder Management

  • Manage and nurture the relationship with local distribution agents to ensure effective product availability and market coverage.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders across both private and institutional sectors.

Compliance & Governance

  • Ensure full compliance with all relevant safety, health, quality, and environmental procedures, as well as the company’s Code of Conduct.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of local regulations and ensure sales practices adhere to all legal and corporate standards.

 

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy, or a related field (MBA is a plus).
  • Minimum 8–10 years of sales experience in the pharmaceutical industry, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.
  • Experience in Jordan is a must
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and managing teams in a competitive market environment.
