Detailed Job Description

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Manage the engineering department activities: Define optimal organizational structure to ensure efficient resource utilization and communication, Identify, recruit, and retain qualified engineering professionals, Coordinate with HR for initial and ongoing staff training to meet competency requirements. Provide professional guidance, mentorship, and support across all engineering functions.
  2. Utilities Operation activities: oversees the operations of different utilities like water system, HVAC, Compressed air, Nitrogen, electricity as per Procedure and cGMP requirement. BMS….
  3. Maintenance activities: all cGMP premises, Equipment, utilities corrective and preventative maintenance execution.
  4. Manage all spare parts needed: Procurements, storage & inventory
  5. Partner in new project: Premises, utilities, equipment from URS, Assessment of Vendors, Offers, execution, FAT, SAT, Commissioning, qualifications.
  6. Applying cGMP requirements through all engineering activities including QMS, auditing, cross function activities.

 

  1. Support all technical departments to achieve the overall technical operation KPIs, applying excellence in engineering activities.

 

  1. Manage all CAPEX/OPEX activities to be within the planned budget.

 

  1. Environmental, Health and Safety Responsibilities:

Follow the company’s Environmental Management System (ISO 14001:2015) and HSE policies in daily work. Actively minimize environmental impacts, maintain a safe workplace, and handle tasks responsibly (e.g. proper disposal of waste, safe use of equipment). Report hazards, non-conformities, or environmental issues to supervisors and support continual improvement initial.

Qualification/Functional Knowledge

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or any related scientific discipline with appropriate amount of combined 15+ years of experience is required.
  • 15+ years of experience in pharmaceutical industries in Engineering, Project, Facilities Maintenance, Utility, HVAC, Electrical and operation and maintenance management systems.
  • Expertise in cGMP regulations and requirements for manufacturing-facility utilities that include understanding of cGMP compliance within control.
  • Familiar with the Quality Compliance System.
  • Ability to multi-task and manage complexity with multiple projects and contacts efficiently.
  • Experience in managing OPEX & CAPEX budgets and ensuring projects stay within budget and timeline.
  •  Experience in SAP & EQMS
