Title:  Assistant Engineer - Calibration

Job Role:

The Calibration Assistant Engineer ensures that instruments and testing devices across manufacturing plants and R&D laboratories are accurately calibrated, maintained, and compliant with cGMP, ISO 17025, safety, and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Make sure that instruments and testing devices are calibrated correctly and give accurate readings in line with standards.
  • Perform this role meticulously, as improper calibration can cause issues concerning safety, wastage, and faulty quality of products
  • Provide engineering support and maintenance activities.
  • Implement all calibration processes and apply it effectively.
  • Prepare Calibration Documents and arrange them properly.
  • Put calibration of related instruments in SAP, label the instrument and close notifications within the same day.
  • Ensure that operation and maintenance as per the SOPs.
  • Guiding and taking area clearance for third party calibration and maintenance activities.
  • Reviewing and uploading third party calibration raw data and certificates in SAP.
  • Closing monthly basis M5 notifications in SAP of calibrated reference standards.
  • Follow with remedial actions in case of any delay, OTC, UMO documentation for instruments in all Julphar plants.
  • Prepare and submit monthly KPI report to supervisor.
  • Ensure Safety, prepare, and implement Preventive Maintenance Program periodically along with necessary records and documentation to present at any time for the necessary inspection and audits.

 

 

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering or an equivalent qualification.

• Three to five years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

• Knowledge of cGMP requirements, good documentation practices, and ISO 17025 guidelines.

• Understanding of measurement-uncertainty calculations and calibration standards.

• Technical knowledge of instrument calibration and preventive maintenance.

• Good English communication, problem-solving, time-management, and task-management skills.
