Detailed Job Description:

 

  • Act as a program co-owner for vendor qualification, assessment, and new vendor introductions.
  • Oversee quality oversight programs for vendors and manage material complaint investigations.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for vendor notifications regarding quality-related issues.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory expectations for new product launches and vendor-related changes.
  • Evaluate and approve corrective and preventive action (CAPA) responses from vendors.
  • Maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for vendor quality management.
  • Review and approve contractual agreements (Quality Assurance Agreements) for vendors, third parties, service providers, and contract manufacturing organizations (CMOs).
  • Assess and approve batch record documents, change controls, and investigations related to CMOs.
  • Prepare reports and raw data for Quality Council meetings.
  • Ensure continuous adherence to cGMP, GSP, and GDP principles in warehouses and supply chain activities.
  • Conduct investigations into warehouse-related deviations (e.g., temperature excursions, mishandling, and inventory discrepancies).
  • Implement corrective actions for non-compliance and oversee deviation investigations.
  • Verify handling and storage conditions of materials and products according to regulatory requirements.
  • Manage market complaint investigations and related change control procedures.
  • Ensure compliance in receiving, storage, and shipment of finished products.
  • Review documentation, including material receiving reports and shipping logs.
  • Handle rejected, obsolete, and expired materials in compliance with SOPs.
  • Conduct periodic warehouse inspections and ensure compliance with documentation practices.
  • Supervise and support warehouse staff training programs related to quality assurance.

Core Competency:
 

  • Strong understanding of cGMP, GSP, GDP, and other regulatory standards (e.g., FDA, WHO).
  • Strong understanding of core Vendor management process cycle.
  • Strong Knowledge on Materials life cycle management from receiving to release process
  • Detail-oriented with a high level of process compliance and accountability.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to make timely decisions.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Proficiency in documentation practices and regulatory reporting.
  • Strong planning, organizational and leadership skills.

Qualification/Functional Knowledge:
 

  • Bachelor’s degree in science, Pharmacy, or a related healthcare field (master’s degree preferred).
  • 10+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, with at least 7-8 years in vendor management or 3-5 years in warehouse QA.
  • Proven experience in vendor management and quality issue resolution.
  • Strong knowledge of QMS systems and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent command of English (spoken and written) and proficiency in MS Office.
  • Prior experience in Pharmaceutical, Healthcare, or Medical Industries Preferred.
