Responsible for supervising day-to-day manufacturing and packaging operations in the Lactam Value Stream, ensuring compliance with Safety, Quality, and Supply objectives. The role involves leading operators and technicians, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring smooth execution of production and packaging processes within approved timelines and standards.

 

Safety Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure team adherence to EMS and HSE requirements through monitoring, training, and guidance.
  2. Lead incident investigation, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective/preventive actions. 
  3. Drive departmental initiatives for environmental performance improvement and HSE culture.

Quality Responsibilities:

  1. Ensure all production and packaging activities are performed in compliance with cGMP, GDP, and data integrity (ALCOA++) principles.
  2. Review and verify BMRs/BPRs, logbooks, and process records for accuracy and completeness.
  3. Coordinate line clearance, in-process checks, and documentation review with QA.
  4. Identify and escalate deviations, support CAPA implementation, and ensure timely closure of QMS actions.
  5. Maintain readiness for internal/external audits, self-inspections, and validation activities.

 

Supply Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and execute daily and weekly production and packaging operations to meet approved schedules and campaign targets.
  2. Monitor OEE, yield, downtime, and material utilization, ensuring effective resource deployment.
  3. Coordinate with Planning, Engineering, Warehouse, and QA to ensure material and equipment readiness.
  4. Ensure manpower availability, effective shift handover, and continuity of operations.

Contribute to continuous improvement projects aimed at productivity, waste reduction, and efficiency enhancement.

Qualification/Functional Knowledge

  1. Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy.
  2. 10 Years experience in pharmaceutical industry.
  3. Proficient in reading, writing and speaking of English Language
