Summary of the Responsibilities/Job summary:


Responsible for overseeing the complete import cycle of goods into the UAE. This includes preparing documentation, ensuring compliance with UAE Customs Authority regulations and Emirates Drug Establishment “EDE”, coordinating with all services providers for brokerage and transportation to secure timely clearance from UAE ports and customs authorities. The role requires a strong understanding of UAE customs procedures, and relevant import permits and approvals.

Detail of the Job Responsibilities/Key result areas:


Main Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end import clearance process for shipments arriving at UAE seaports, airports, and land borders.
  • Prepare and submit import documentation to grant all the required import approvals from EDE, MOIAT, Customs Authority …etc
  • Accurately classify goods using HS Codes and calculate duties, taxes, and exemptions as applicable.
  • Coordinate with customs brokers, and transportation company for timely delivery and clearance.
  • Monitor shipment status and resolve any customs holds, inspections, or delays.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of all import documents including BOEs (Bills of Entry), delivery orders, and clearance reports.
  • Measure & track all the required Key performance indicators for clearance process.
  • Provide internal teams (e.g., procurement, warehousing) with real-time updates on incoming shipments.
  • Submit all the invoices on-time to the finance to ensure the on time recording for all expenses.

Core Competency:

  • Minimum 2–3 years’ experience in customs clearance or import logistics within the UAE.
  • Strong knowledge of Dubai Trade, UAE customs portals, and clearance procedures.
  • Familiar with UAE-specific documentation (e.g., Delivery Orders, Commercial Invoices, Packing Lists, Certificate of Origin).
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong verbal and written communication in English.
  • Proficient in MS Office and SAP.

Qualification/Functional knowledge:


Key Experiences / Functional Knowledge Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree or diploma in Supply Chain, Logistics, or any relevant field.
  • Experience in required documentation & Submission requests for EDE, MOIAT, Customs, Etc.
  • Excellent in MS and SAP
