Title:  Sr. Business Associate - Network and Security

Job Summary/Main Purpose

The Sr. Business Associate provides effective IT assistance across all aspects in the network and server. Responsible for supporting and maintaining the Network switches, routers and Servers, and other job responsibilities assigned. Perform network maintenance to ensure networks operate correctly with minimal interruption in pharma production environment.

The Position involves working in the manufacturing network, and complying with the GMP/GxP policies and procedures in Daily operations, infrastructure and application projects in the manufacturing area, ensuring quality standards and handling audits. The Position requires skills in IT infrastructure, network and security

Main Responsibilities:

  • Assist with Design, implement, monitor, security, and support of all complex institutional Network (LAN/WAN) based on Cisco Technologies.
  • Monitors and troubleshoot all Layer 2 & Layer 3 firewall, switches, routers, and wireless devices such as cisco, Aruba, Fortinet etc
  • Analyzing existing network performance and identifying opportunities for optimization in terms of reliability, speed and security.
  • Install and configure network hardware and GMP applications, ensuring seamless integration with existing systems
  • Troubleshoot and resolve complex network issues, minimizing the downtime and impact on critical operations.
  • Implement and enforce straight network security protocol and safeguard the network and data.
  • Proactively monitor network and GMP application performance capacity and address potential bottlenecks or vulnerabilities.
  • Maintain accurate network documentation, diagrams and configuration backups.
  • May assist senior management to assess and plan future network needs; recommend standards, specifications, and methodologies for network operations.
  • Planning for server security patches updates and rebooting schedule align with engineering and production team
  • Special projects and assignments as per business needs.
  • Collecting and filing of all IT Asset documents.
  • Act as IT support to users whenever required.
  • Perform other colleagues’ job either during their absence or in situations if required.
  • Maintain proactively the Pharma manufacturing application network infrastructure and minimize the downtime

 

Requirements (Knowledge, Skills & Attributes)

 

  • Bachelor Degree or 3 Year IT diploma or equivalent
  • 2-4 years of similar experience.
  • Strong knowledge on routing protocols, switching technologies, VPNs and network security principles.
  • Experience with FortiGate firewalls, Cisco NAC and switches.
  • Must have CCNA certification and added advantage with Cisco NAC certification.
  • Experience working with pharmaceuticals industry minimum 3 years, with an understanding of regulatory requirements (CRF Part 11 and FDA etc.)
  • Good analysis and troubleshooting skills.
  • Windows administration experience.
  • A diligent and quality conscious support engineer.
  • Analytical with good problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrates high standards in all aspects of their work.
  • Teamwork, ability to work under pressure, having a flair of multitasking. Support business needs beyond working hours as and when required in urgent scenarios.
