Title:  Technician - WTP

Job Summary/ Main Purpose

The Technician-WTP is responsible for adhering to the cGMP principles, ISO & EHS requirements and maintaining them in an effective manner.

In this role, responsibilities include raw water Etihad to general applications and process application for all water treatment plants by following the approved procedure at the site and ensuring that the soft water, purified water, industrial steam, clean steam, WFI, gas systems and compressed air are meeting its expectations.

 

Key Responsibilities & Key Result Areas

● Responsible to adhere with cGMP principles and maintain them in effective manner.

● Perform, oversee the operation and scheduled maintenance on all plant equipment Including raw water system, compressors, boilers, gas systems, WFI, CSG, etc.,

● Perform skilled maintenance and repairs to plant equipment, Piping, and machinery on time.

● Perform periodic/corrective plant equipment maintenance, calibration, and collections system upkeep.

● Relied upon to maintain plant equipment and machinery to ensure positive performance to create effective results in treatment of the water.

● Responsible for training workmates/new joiners about the hazardous chemical handling, process/environmental safety, and process control.

● Operate laboratory testing/analysis equipment for process control and monitoring purposes.

● Perform necessary process control adjustments as per the requirements by considering the safety aspects.

● Required hands on experience and to do complete the job on own hand.

● Maintain, modify, or repair instrumentation and control equipment including recorders, flow meter and other water quality monitoring equipment.

● Perform facility safety inspections and complete accident reports.

● Conduct periodic quality checks on equipment and systems to ensure everything is up to standard.

● Maintaining reports & records, safety regulations and PM plans.

● Inspects plant process and provides technical advice and assistance on process control problems.

● It should be available on an on-call basis, due to emergency situations.

Qualifications / Key Experiences / Functional Knowledge Requirements

● A Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering is required.

● At least 1 - 2 years of experience in industrial/pharmaceutical utilities (general medicines, vaccines & diabetes solutions) preferred and food Industries or any water treatment industry also be considered.

● Should be able to review the operational logs, OJT documents, monthly reports, and SAP related activities.

● Good knowledge of GED, engineering tools, plant spare parts and consumables and able to perform internal inventory to maintaining the min. reorder level and Maintenance platform: SAP modules.

● Strong command in English (communicating, writing, and speaking) & Arabic is a plus.

● Good User in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Word, etc.).
